1. DO I NEED A BUILDING PERMIT?

All building projects are unique; some of them may require a permit while others do not. It is the customer’s responsibility to check with their local zoning office and building department to see if there are certain permits required to have a structure installed on your property. This will depend on the county you live in and their building codes. Dominion Structures does not obtain permits on behalf of customers. Our structures come standard with generic drawings, upon request.

2. WHAT SURFACES CAN A STRUCTURE BE INSTALLED ON?

We can install on any level surface, such as concrete, asphalt, dirt/ground, and gravel. Your installation site should be level with a 1-3” tolerance. If your site is out of level greater than 3” then you should prepare your site before installation so that it’s level. We highly recommend you speak with a local gravel or concrete contractor so that you can decide the best foundation for your structure based on your budget and use.

3. WHAT TYPES OF ANCHORING COME WITH MY STRUCTURE?

Our structures come with anchoring that matches the surface type. Installation on ground comes with re-bar and 3-ft mobile home anchors, while concrete surfaces come with concrete anchors. Asphalt comes with asphalt anchors. Custom anchoring requirements beyond ground/gravel, concrete, or asphalt may be subject to an additional installation fee for labor and material.

4. WHAT SIZE CONCRETE SHOULD I POUR FOR MY STRUCTURE?

All Concrete Pads are Recommended to pour 2” wider on all sides. Units 18×21 need to have 18’4”x20’4” Concrete Pad.(Lengths of structures are listed 1’ longer than frame because of 6” overhang on the roof.) We recommend that you work with an experienced concrete professional to guide you on how to pour a concrete pad based on your setup and needs. The recommended depth of your concrete pad and other general ideal concrete guidance will vary depending on your area.

5. WHAT ARE THE FINANCING OPTIONS OFFERED AT DOMINION STEEL STRUCTURES?

You can choose between a reliable financing option and rent-to-own options (up to $20,000). While both are excellent ways to help you get the structure you need and want, for a price you can afford, it’s best to read the requirements for each program first.
